| | | | Welcome to our new-look Breathemail, the weekly bulleting sent out by Andy Glascott, the Toton Churches Youth Worker. In putting this together I've added some people to the circulation list from the church directory. If you'd rather not get this email, there is an unsubscribe link at the bottom, please click and you'll be removed. Another "new thing" is a change to our pattern at George Spencer, starting tomorrow. Every Monday lunchtime we'll (that's me and Steve, from The Haven in Stapleford!) be spending time, mostly on Lower Site, wandering around and chatting to whoever wants to chat. We'll be based in the Resource Centre, but will also be out and about when the weather allows! All being well, we start tomorrow. We're approaching Christmas, and many of you will have the list of services drop though your door in the coming days. Before we get there, there's one to plug for our youth groups: 7.00 pm on Thursday at St Peter's there is a carol service for all the youth and children's groups in Toton, we hope to see as many of you as possible there. Hot Chocolate We're gearing up for it again this year, and will be giving away free hot chocolate to people on their way toschool and work from Monday 17th to Friday 21st of December, and this year we'll be joined by the Bishop of Southwell and Nottingham on the Tuesday. 24Hours:1Day:0 Meals A number of us will be fasting for up to 24 hours over the weekend of Dec 22nd/23rd to raise awareness of the reality of hunger in the world. 200,000 people in the UK are faced with stark choices about food supply each week, and rely on the Food Bank network. Millions more world wide go hungry every day. What does it feel like? Do we take all we have access to for granted? This is a chance to experience and reflect. Email us for more information. Throughout December and over the weekend I'm fasting, I'll be tweeting on both @TotonChurches and @BreatheToton, follow us on both for the latest updates. Have a good week, I'm certainly looking forward to a busy one! God bless, Andy | | | | | | | |
