| | | | Almost there... If I'm semi covered in a fine layer of brown chocolatey powder, it can only mean one thing, that we're serving hot chocolate all week, and that must mean it's the last week of term. Nearly there, nearly time for a rest and Christmas. Much as I love Advent, and the build up to the celebrations of Jesus birth, I am looking forward to Tuesday next week and waking up in Ireland with my nieces arriving at any minute :-)
Before we get there though, there is this week to work through and the Christingles on Christmas Eve. (This will be the last Breathemail of 2012 by the way.) Details of the events coming up are on the left are on the left. It would be great to see you at some of them.
Lastly, as we approach the celebrations, a number of us are fasting for up to 24 hours over the weekend of Dec 22nd/23rd, not to raise money but to raise awareness, for ourselves, of what it's like to go without food, and to ask others to simply remember the work of the Food Banks in the UK and that there will be people relying on them this Christmas. I'll be tweeting on @BreatheToton over the weekend.
In the meantime, I leave you with a prayer of blessing this Christmas:

May the warmth of Christ's love surround you,
The stillness of the Spirit bring you peace,
And the arms of the Father shelter you.
