Onwards through Advent

I've finished my preaching/service leading commitments for this month, but Advent continues and we move closer to Christmas. The focus this week is on Carol Services and Experience Christmas.

Both Bispham Drive and Chetwynd Road are visiting St Peter's for their Christmas carol services this week, it will be a real joy to be with them both.

On Thursday and Friday we welcome children from Banks Road and Chetwynd to Toton Methodist for Experience Christmas, an interactive re-telling of the Christmas story with opportunities for questions and reflections.

On Sunday we are hosting a Nativity at Toton Methodist at 10.00 am, and in the evening there are Carol Services at Toton Methodist at 6.00 pm and at St Peter's at 8.00 pm.

So I make that 4 carol services, 1 Nativity, 40 or so re-tellings of the same bit of the Christmas story at Experience Christmas, 1 Christmas Dinner, and I'm not going to guess at the number of mince pies...

Christmas is coming closer, my month is getting busier, but let's remember to pause and reflect as we journey there. You can find useful reflections and videos on the Totn Churches Twitter feed (@TotonChurches) all through Advent.
