Welcome to another week, and another school year for everyone at George Spencer, Spencer Time has begun! This week's email is a double header as I'm away for a few days this weekend and the beginning of next week.Rather than listing all the regular groups, which are all on at the usual times this week and next, I'm just going to flag up a couple of special events and/or requests.
It's Your Move:
This is our annual event for Year 6 pupils starting Year 7 in September, and this year it's on Thursday July 12th, running from 1.45 to 3.00 pm. We still need a number of volunteers to help with the group activities. One is supervising a craft activity (making key rings) and the other is leading a discussion. Please get in touch with me if you would like to know more about it or can help.
Soul Survivor:
Have any of you got a charcoal (rather than gas) BBQ we could borrow from July 27th to August 1st for Soul Survivor? If so, please let me know. Also, if you can help with transport, either on the Friday (July 27th, leaving Toton at lunchtime) or the Wednesday (August 1st, leaving Stafford Showground about 9.00 am), please let me know. it's about an hours drive each way.
GYM Treasure Chips:
This event is now happening on July 13th, not this Friday coming. If you haven't returned a consent form, please bring it with you this week (or get another one from us on Friday!) If it's wet on the 13th, we'll get the chips brought to youth club, don't worry!
Holiday Zone:
We're running a series of activities for children and teenagers in the last week of August, and part of the Breathe programme will be running for 11 to 14 year olds every evening from Tuesday August 28th to Friday August 31st this summer. Keep an eye out for publicity over coming weeks.
Have a good couple of weeks, we'll hope for good weather to come once Wimbledon is out of the way, and hope to see you round Toton somewhere.
