Well, the last week of the school term has arrived, anyone else counting down the days or is it just me? This is the last week the regular groups will be meeting before the summer breaks, I'll be in touch most weeks through the summer though with events that are happening over the coming weeks.
This week we are delighted to be joined by Bisoke Balikenga, a youth worker from the Democratic Republic of the Congo in central Africa. He visited us previously in 2010, so some of you may remember him from then. He will be at various events with me today and Wednesday, keep an eye out for us.
Today we are in George Spencer twice, at lunchtime for the Christian Union and after school for Project Spencer.
Wednesday We'll be visiting Bispham Drive at lunchtime and then staying on for the Year 6 show before heading to Costa for about 3 pm (we might be a few minutes late!). Please do drop in for a chat, Bisoke and I will be there until late afternoon. Cafe Breathe is on as usual at Toton Methodist in the evening.
Thursday Bisoke travels back to DR Congo this morning, please pray for safe travel. Youth Club is on in the evening at Toton Methodist, we'll be playing games with water, you have been warned! (You might want to bring a change of clothes....) There is no Showcase at George Spencer this week.
Friday brings the last youth club session of the term, and we'll be marking the occasion with more water based games and some party food. Bring a change of clothes with you please!
Sunday there are the regular services in the morning at both churches, in the evening the Breathe Deeper group will be leading a time of worship entitled "Faith, Hope and Love" while exploring the story of Adam and Eve from a different angle....
It's a busy week to finish term, but one filled with God's blessing and joy, I look forward to catching up with as many people as possible over the next few days.
God bless,
Andy
