Now that we know where we stand with the football, this week is a bit more predictable than it could have been, and it looks like this:
Today is the beginning of work experience week, we have two students from George Spencer with us all week, keep an eye out for them shadowing me through the week.
Tuesday I'm on a rest day
Wednesday There is no Cafe Breathe this week, instead we are off to Christ Church Chilwell, for a worship event they are hosting. (We are joining up with their youth group for Soul Survivor this year and this is a chance to meet up with them before we go. The event finishes at about 8.30, and from 8.30 to 9.00 there will be a get-together for anyone going on the Soul Survivor trip.) See this Facebook page for details of the event, and see our Facebook page later this morning for a link to download the consent form for it if you are under 18.
Thursday The Olympic Torch arrives in Nottingham in the evening ready for the relay through the county on Friday. Showcase and Youth Club are on as usual this week.
Friday GYM Youth Club is on at the usual times, 6.15 to 7.45 this week, with a theme of World Food, so have your taste buds at the ready!
Saturday is Soul Survivor preparation day
Sunday I'm preaching at the 8.30 and 10.30 services at St Peter's, the 10.30 being a combined service for both of the Toton Churches while Messy Zone is on at Toton Methodist for the under 11's.
Soul Survivor:
We leave for Soul Survivor on Friday July 27th, and return on Wednesday August 1st. If you are able to help with transport, please let me know as soon as possible. It's an hour each way, transporting teenagers and camping kit.
It's Your Move:
This is our annual transition event for Year 6 pupils as they head up to second level education, it's on July 12th. If you can help out with it, please let me know as soon as possible. A CRB check is needed, and help with crafts and a discussion-based activity are much appreciated!
Have a good week this week, I'm looking forward to whatever it brings, and don't forget our last few students finishing off exams this week.
God bless,
Andy
