Afternoon all,
The snow is fading, but things are getting busier as the week goes on.
This Week:
Amy, Bisoke and I have already been in to Bispham today to lead assembly, and yes, as I was asked by several people, youth club does start this week!
Tomorrow we are hosting a meeting of youth workers from across the Diocese of Southwell at St Peters
Wednesday sees Christian Union at George Spencer at lunchtime, and we'll be in Starbucks from 3 onwards for anyone that wants to drop in. The joint Toton Churches Council is meeting on Wednesday evening.
Thursday sees Cafe Breathe re-open for the term, open to anyone in Year 9 and above from 7.00 to 8.30 at Toton Methodist Church. Showcase will be on at George Spencer as usual as well.
Friday - yes, youth club is back! Starting at 6.15 to 7.45 for Years 3 to 6 and 8.00 to 9.30 pm for Years 7 to 9.
Sunday evening sees Breathe Deeper, and we'll be kicking off 4 sessions lookming at the theme of relationships. Open to anyone in Year 7 and above, we start at 7 and finish at 8.30 pm at St Peters.
Other Stuff:
Sleepout - well done to everyone who took part and stayed out all night, please continue to collect your sponsor money so we can send it to Framework as soon as possible.
Hoodies and Tshirts - we now have order forms available for the uber-cool (and really warm hoodies!) featuring the Breathe logo. £9 for a tshirt, £13 for a hoodie or £20 for both, all available in a wide choice of navy blue.
Soul Survivor - we're aiming to take a group this summer (here's the link - http://www.soulsurvivor.com/uk/ss2010/) Have a look at that, then visit the blog (www.totonyouth.blogspot.com) and vote on which week we should go for. There'll be more by the end of the month, as thre will be about Alton Towers.....
Toton on the telly - we might not have made it on the tv about the sleepout, but did you know Toton made the news on the BBC? If not, here's the link! http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/nottinghamshire/8451522.stm
As the week goes on, more and more people will be getting into exams, please keep them in your prayers. Have a good one, and hope to see you roaund Toton this week.
God bless,
Andy
