It's either a sign of fame or notoriety - I had a letter arrive at the St Peter's office this morning addressed to "The Andy Glascott, St Peter's Church etc etc..." Make your mind up as to which it is ;-)
As we wend our way through June, we're moving closer to the end of Ju nYeon's time here with us. Her final day here is July 12th, a mere 4 weeks on Sunday. We'll be saying farewell to her at the All Age service that morning and wishing her well for her next step, a placement with Time For God on their TFG+ programme in Bath. Between now and then she'll be around and at as many groups as possible, including most of this weeks groups:
Wednesday sees me at CU, and Ju Yeon will be at Starbucks. I'll be at the joint PCC meeting in the evening, and will pop in to Starbucks if I can this week.
Thursday we'll both be at Showcase in George Spencer this week, and Cafe Breathe is on as normal in the evening.
Friday sees Play and Praise, GYM and Breathe In happening at the usual times.
Sunday morning is the second in the month, so is a combined service at St P's, and Breathe is on in the evening, 7.00 to 8.30 pm.
Looking beyond the coming week, and indeed towards September, we have confirmed with TFG that Amy Pennenga will be joining us ffrom New Jersey in the USA. She has just graduated from Colgate University with a degree in African Studies, which included spending time in Kenya. She'll be arriving in late August, and we are looking for accommodation for her. If you would be willing to consider hosting her, or would like to find out more about what is involved in hosting, please do get in touch with me. Finding out more does not commit you to hosting!
In the meantime, people are still doing exams, please keep them in your prayers, and I'll see you around this week.
God bless,
Andy
