Weekly Email March 23rd 2009

Afternoon everyone,

Normal service is resumed this week, I'm back in the swing of things after a couple of days away last week, during which I managed to get another year older...... There are two significant things to tell you about at this stage, Alton Towers and BLT:

Alton Towers is looming, and the first deadline has passed last Friday. If you want to come on this awesome day out, you need to book with me as soon as possible and absolutely no later than this Sunday as I'll be booking the tickets on Monday morning next week. This Sunday is the final deadline for cheaper tickets. Depending on the cost of the coach, the final cost will be in the region of £33 to £35 pounds. After this Sunday that it will be £10 dearer! There's more about the day itself on www.ultimateevents.org.uk.
BLT is our new venture for anyone aged 15 to 19 wanting to see what's involved in Christian leadership. Breathe Leadership Training will run over 6 months, once a month with a 1-2-1 mentoring session in between each monthly group session. The first session is this Sunday, March 29th from 2 til 4 at St Peter's.

Between now and then, the rest of the week looks like this:
Monday - I'm at the Community Action Team meeting this evening in Toton.
Wednesday - Ju Yeon and I will be at CU in George Spencer at lunchtime, I'm leading the session, and at least one of us will be in Starbucks from 3 pm onwards. I'm also popping in to St Peter's PCC as well in the evening.
Thursday - I'm doing another RE lesson at George Spencer on Thursday afternoon (last lesson) and then Ju Yeon will be coming in as well for Showcase after school as well. We're both at Cafe Breath in the evening from 7-8 before the Lent Course.
Friday - Play and Praise, GYM and Rock Solid are all on at the usual times. If you (or your son/daughter) come to GYM, remember we're painting t-shirts this week, so it's worth bringing an old top to wear!
Sunday - in the morning I'll be starting at St P's and running the top group at Sunday school before dashing up the road to TMC for an extra Church Council meeting there. Breathe is on as usual at St P's in the evening, 7 til 9 in the youth room.

In the meantime, enjoy the fresh weather and see you somewhere in Toton over the next few days.

God bless,

Andy
