Youth Exchange Advert

Morning all,

I've just emailed our advert to several Conference/Diocese etc youth co-ordinators, 3 Anglican and 3 Methodist as well as Group Foundation, the work camp people. The advert is below so you can have a look at it!

Youth Group Exchange Opportunity

We are a youth group based in Nottingham, England, looking to partner with a similar youth group in the USA for an exchange programme. We are part of Toton Churches, a partnership between Church of England (Anglican) and Methodist congregations. Toton is a suburb of the city of Nottingham, not far from the Peak District National Park and a couple of hours from London. One of our youth recently described Toton as “a small place that makes a big noise”.

Our youth register holds about 50 names, and 35 to 40 of them are regularly involved in our various youth activities. We are currently exploring funding, and confident of being in a position to travel to the USA in late July or August 2010, and would hope to host a return visit in 2011.

We see this as an opportunity for two youth groups to explore mission in different contexts and cultures, learning from each other as we serve a common God. For more information, please contact our Youth Director, Andy Glascott via
youthworker@totonchurches.org. Alternatively, visit our blog on www.totonyouth.blogspot.com.

We will be posting this advert on several websites in the USA, and hope to receive responses by March 10th, in order to make a decision about a partner group later that month.

I'll keep you posted as we get responses back.

Andy
