Morning all,
It's warmer outside than it was at 7.30 this morning when we started giving out hot chocolate at TMC, though it wasn't actually freezing. Technically. We gave away 48 cups this morning, and have more for tomorrow! Please remind anyone you know who walks to school that if they come past TMC, there's a free cup of hot chocolate for everyone.
This week really revolves around Christmas stuff, so here we go:
Monday - hot chocolate this morning, and we're at the Bispham school carol service this afternoon.
Tuesday - after hot chocolate tomorrow, there's the Busy Bees nativity at St P's, and carol singing at Tesco in the evening.
Wednesday - hot chocolate again, (it's at 8 am every morning) followed by the CU Christmas party up at George Spencer. If you really enjoy carol singing, join us at tesco from 6.30 again this evening.
Thursday - yep, you guessed it, hot chocolate again! We're hoping to beat the 200 we gave away last year. There's the Barracks Christingle in the afternoon and later it's Chetwynd school carols at St P's.
Friday - Our last hot chocolate morning, and then it's a quiet day before the Sleepout.
Saturday - It's the day of the Breathe Out Sleepout! There is currently 1 place left, if you want it, get in touch with me as soon as possible! So far I've heard that the Methodist recorder want photos of the event, I'm hopeful that the Evenig Post might publish something, and Radio Nottingham are also aware of the event....
Sunday - the sleepout finishes with breakfast at St P's, we'll be finished by 9. Anyone that want's to stay for the services at 10.30 would be very welcome! There are carol services at 6 and 8 pm that evening as well.
On Christmas Eve we've got the Christingle services (3 & 5 @ St P's, 4 pm @ TMC), and I'm looking for two volunteers to take part in a sketch at the 3 and 5 pm services at St P's. There'll be a rehearsal (at a time to be arranged) beforehand, and if enough people volunteer, you don't have to do both services. Email me if you want a part. Beyond that, there are no youth/children's events until the new year, so I'll let you know what's happening closer to the time.
If I don't see you beforehand, I wish you every blessing for Christmas, and trust your celebrations of Jesus' birth are enjoyable and not too stressful!
God bless,
Andy
