Morning all,
Well, I now know winter is approaching - the hockey season has moved into league games. And we still lose. When God created competition, it was one way of teaching us to be gracious when we don’t get our own way – I’m getting plenty of practice at that on a Saturday afternoon at the moment! How about you other sports fans? How are your teams doing?
As for this week, things are settling into a pattern, but there have been one or two changes….
Today – we’re introducing Ju Yeon to Rainbows, Brownies and Guides tonight!
Wednesday – Starbucks from 3 for anyone that fancies a chat and a brew
Thursday – Ju Yeon will be in George Spencer for Cu @ lunchtime and @ Showcase after school, I’m going to a Methodist District event for Lay Workers in Notts and Derby. Don’t know much more about it though…..
Friday – Ju Yeon will be at Play and Praise and we’ll both be at GYM and Rock Solid at the usual times.
Sunday – It’s All Age worship at TMC, and this month as part of the service we’ll be praying for and commissioning all those who work with children and young people. Please do come along and support them. In the evening, it’s Alpha @ Breathe, at St P’s for pudding at 7!
With an eye on Youth Alpha, the weekend away will be in February, from Friday 13th to Sunday 15th, details of venue etc to follow.
After yesterday’s rain, the Friends of Toton Fields group are hosting an evening on Monday October 13th looking back at the wildlife in the area over the last year or so. Details on their website.
With an eye on the two churches working ever more closely together, I have a new email address – youthworker(at)totonchurches.org! [Just replace the (at) with @] www.totonchurches.org is the new site for both churches, though at the moment it just points to the St P’s site. We also have a new photo album on the blog, and more pics will appear there as time goes by!
In the meantime, have a great week, and see you somewhere soon!
Andy
