Morning everyone,
Sorry this is slightly later than usual, but despite the weather yesterday, we did go to Hathersage and swim. We only got rained on once while we were there, and when you’re going to be in a pool anyway, what’s a little water falling from the sky?
This Week:
Obviously, we are part of the way through this week, but for the rest of it, here goes:
Tomorrow, I’ll be in Starbucks from 2.30 for an hour or so if anyone wants to drop in for a coffee and a chat. Please also remember those getting exam results tomorrow – AS, A and A2 levels that will impact on university choices etc. Please keep them in your prayers.
On Sunday, there is a Breathe session at St P’s in the evening.
Next Week:
Weather permitting, there will be a chance to do some DIY work and to Make A Difference at the Methodist church on Tuesday from 10.00 am. I’ll tell you more about that on Sunday evening if you are around. There’ll be a Starbucks session as well at some point, but I’ll let you know when as the week shapes up. If the weather is typically wet next Tuesday, we’ll aim for Wednesday etc.
Looking beyond the next couple of weeks, on Sunday August 31st, there is an opportunity for you to get involved in leading the evening service at church, please email me if you are interested.
Olympic Website of the Week:
The kind of stuff that you don’t often see on tv, but what competing in the Olympics really means to those people who love their sport and give so much to it - http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/olympics/2008/08/who_is_winning_the_olympic_cry.html .
Ciao for now!
