On Sunday last, we started off with some new endings to old proverbs. Here are some of the best:
Two's company, three's........ Zanna, Elizabeth 'n' Mary!
Don't bite the hand that ..... bites harder than you!
Where there's smoke, there's.... air pollution
Happy is the bride who.... leaves the groom (?)
Two's company, three's...... a whole better party
Strike while the.... mole sticks his head above ground
Where there's smoke, there's.... food on fire
A penny saved is .... not enough spent in Primark!
Better late than ..... not straightening your hair!
Laugh and the whole world
laughs with you, cry and ... your make up runs!
A penny saved is .... a penny sweet not eaten.
There'll be more later, including the photo-story of "The Lord is my Walking Boot"!
